Medical Billing-
Medical billers make up a huge part of the healthcare industry. Every medical facility that sees patients’ needs
qualified medical billers to make sure the patient’s medical claim is billed properly so the facility can get paid
for the work performed. This can include seeing a patient in the doctor’s office; radiology tests; and even
critical care treatment for both inpatient and outpatient needs.
Without proper training medical claims could be filed with errors. This causes problems in lost revenue and a
delay in payment on the medical bill.
Our medical billing course gives you the most effective way to become a Certified Billing
Specialist. The course also includes Health Insurance Specialist Training which will help to insure sufficient
preparation to pass any certifier examination.

Medical Coding-
Medical coding (like medical billing) is also a very important career field to be in when it comes to careers in
the healthcare industry. Medical coding and medical billing are very similar; yet are also
different.
Most people that train in medical billing will also train in medical coding.
There are CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes that exist for each type of service such as an office visit,
an injection, an x-ray, right on to major surgery. International Disease Codes (ICD) is the number systems assigned
for diagnoses, even minor patient complaints. The combination of using codes such as; ICD and CPT will tell the
payer what was wrong with the patient and the type of service(s) that was performed.
There is high job security for Medical Coders! Every medical facility that performs a medical
service is required to have medical coders on staff to ensure that each task is properly coded. This is vital to
ensure the patient record and the patient bills are correct.
This Medical Billing course is currently offered only to USA residents.
